I cant wait to see it. We are doing our 40 right now and have begun a solid yellow interior. We are going to run N/A 572's. Cant wait to here more about yours. Sounds awesome.

Gottime-any interior pics with the yellow. Is the dash still textured and black?

TxHawk 02-10-2004 11:42 AM

And where are you located?

Gottime 02-10-2004 02:38 PM

as far as the dash goes it is black but i haven't gotten to that point yet i am gonna sand it and paint it yellow..i have been doing a section at a time i am to the point now that i have to paint the dash and strart getting that together.. money is starting to slow me down or should i say the lack of i have to sell my other boat so i can finish this one i will be water bound this year no matter what... i am from upstate NY

fred 02-10-2004 02:44 PM

Does your Hawk have a full interior in the cabin?....Fred

Gottime 02-11-2004 06:12 AM

Fred yes i have a full interior in the cabin it is white with a very light gray fabric it is in great shape so i am not doing anything with it for now the only thing i am doing in the cabin is the carpet so it all matches...

hawk40 02-11-2004 05:03 PM

gottime,
Can you post some pictures of the interior when you get a chance. My interior is a vanilla tanish color that I would like to update so I'm looking for ideas. Thanks

Gottime 02-12-2004 05:45 AM

that shouldn't be a problem i can take the digital camera home and take some pics of the interior it is sitting on my front porch... it is a really bright yellow all solid even the stiching is yellow...

fred 02-15-2004 09:28 AM

That isn't the original rub rail is it?....what did you replace the original with?....Fred

Gottime 02-15-2004 10:00 AM

Fred, not it is not the orginal rub rail i replaced it with new vinly rub rail i cut all the ends at a 45 degree angle so u can't really tell where the seems are u have to really look hard to find them... this is my "baby" i am taking a long time to make it the way i want i have all new pop up clets coming for it also.. as far as the dash goes my plans are to cut the orginal area out and replace it with a flat one putting all the gauges on a single plane and half rounded... thats the next big thing to do to it...

jddickinson 02-16-2004 01:36 PM

gottime, i took the original smoked cover and just painted it.it is flat and the guages fit well with bezels.did the same with the rest of the dash area(glove box and cabin door).this changed the look completely.removed the cabin wood and made a flat plexiglass door, with a track on top and bottom.paint covers alot!god luck and looks good so far.i'll try to post some pics...
