Hull delamination 87 22 Pachanga

I launched my 87 Sea Ray Pachanga 22 in June for the first time this season. I nearly lost control @ 45mph when it bow steered. The hull lost a 5' long by 2' wide section from the port transom forward. Only a layer of inner glass remains. Luckily it did not take on water, but the hull is soft almost all the way to the bow on the port side. The only signs of trouble were two hairline cracks 2" ahead of the transom on the second set of strakes out from the keel. We repaired the cracks a few years ago but they re-appeared. The boat has been trailered since day one. I sold it new and bought it as a trade-in. My fiberglass guy thinks it is stringer separation from hard running. I read a post here refering to water swelling the balsa cored strakes. Any advise would be appreciated.
