I am replacing my old battery boxes with new. I have four holes in the stringer where the bolts went through to hold on the old battery boxs. What is the best way to fill these holes? The hole size is about a 1/4 inch.
Thanks,
Mike

Best way I can think of is to drill a counter sink on them all and then West systems them with filler. If looks are not important or you can paint after the repair then I would put a layer of glass on top.

Looks are not that important being that the new battery will hide the holes. Where can you get the west systems? If I fill them can I just go over with some JC to make them blend? The batteries are mounted in the bilge.

Thanks for the help. I bought some West Systems and I am already finished with the filling. What is a good type of paint that I can put over the repair to get it to blend a little better. You wont be able to see the repair after I install the new battery boxes but I am a perfectionist and want it done right. The bilge is an off white. 2000 Fountain Fever. By the way West Systems is some good stuff and easy to use thanks again for the recommendation.
