Default can I stagger my engine set up ?

I'm switching my TRS set up to bravo. I have to redo the transom anyway because of humidity. Since I'll have no more transmission, and then wasted space, do you think I would have the room to make a staggered set up? It'a 85 Formula 35-7. Opinions?

you may be able to get away with a half stagger. not sure if you have the room to go full. what is the distance from the transom to the forward bulkhead? do you have pics of the engine compartmant?

not up to now but I could measure it. On the other hand, somebody told me if I was not using roughly 750 hp and more I would not see any difference so... not too sure if I would do it! I tough I could have gained like 5 or 10 mp/h just doing this...

i believe staggering is done to improve handling. it lowers the SOG and puts the props in better water. not sure what the speed gains are but i do know it does effect docking in a negative way. splitting shifts has almost no effect with the props so close togather
