Re: is it worth it?

Paint is not cheap and labor is worse. If the paint looks that bad just imagine how the rest of the boat was taken care of.

Check out the velocity section here on OSO for more info. When Regal owned them, Regal made some of the best small boats in the industry under the Regal name. Don't know if this is also true of the Regal Velocity. I would not be afraid of a Regal Velocity without doing more reseach to prove it is a bad boat.

Re: is it worth it?

I have a 30' Regal Velocity, bought used. There are certainally better built (more expensive) boats out there. Would say the overall quality is good.....not excellent. But, considering cost vs quality, I've been pleased. One thing to check. They used wood in many places and I've found some areas where it wasn't well sealed. Make sure the floor is sound and has no water damage. Good luck.
