Default Remove dried wax from plastic deck hatches?

Detail guy was a bit careless last time so I'd rather clean it up myself. The deck hatches are '90s vintage Bomar. The old wax isn't on the "lense", just the plastic/acrylic/composite/whatever frame. There's lots of buildup in the hinge pin hole too. I want to clean them up now for looks, but eventually they might get painted.
