Default Micron CSS

Need Help! I just found out that the guy who painted the bottom of my boat used Micron CSC on the bottom of my boat not Awgrip. I am not extremely happy with the finish! Can anything be done to make this finish smoother? Should I wet sand then polish?

If it is anti fouling paint you can smooth it out with brass wool. Gonna take some time. I did this on my CC and gained back about 2mph that we lost from the bottom paint.

No nothing special except some bengay for your arm when your done. I was told this trick by a old blow boat racer and was very surprised when it worked.

Are you meaning your bottom was to be painted with the Awlgrip bottom paint system, Awlstar? If you are, I wouldn't worry about the difference. Micron CSC is Interlux's top of the line Bottom paint. It is a multi season paint. Powerwash the bottom at the end of the season, and relaunch it next seasom. I have been using it for a few years.
I had one of my guys at my shop do it with a roller, and I followed right behind him with a China bristle brush. The finish came out great for bottom paint. I'm sure if your paint is thick enough, you can sand it with a DA and some fine paper. I don't think you can polish it though.
