I like the deck, but what is up with the extended transom on both sides of the O/B? That cowl looks sick, I wouldnt hide it behind anything.

I have not changed the engine position since I bought the boat two years ago. The engine will be raised roughly 7-8 inches! and mounted on the CMC lift I bought in the States. With this the entire cowl will be fully visible above the extensions on the sides... What they will be used for? .... stay tuned!

Yepp, I also think the cowl is a mean looking little monster, still with some kind of Merc factory appeal...

looks good and keep the pics coming. You know we love seeing progress pics. I am a little curious of your method to but judging by your finish work and obvious effort put into the great styling I'm sure you have it figured out. Quick tip to help your final finish. From earlier posts i am assuming you are laminating over the top of this running plug? If you are not bagging drop a layer of peel ply on top the final laminate and it will help give you smoother finish to fair out without all rough glass. (thanks for the original tip Sparky )

Hold ypur breath, here comes the process...

As you can see, there is an gradual evolution of the lines and proportions, towards more sleek and slender...
