Pettit Vivid Antifouling

Has anyone had experience with a brighter color of this antifouling paint? I keep my boat in a slip so I paint my bottom yearly, and have always just used black. Its always kind of bugged me when I see the boat on plane in pics or whatever. I am wondering what this Pettit Vivid would look like if I painted the bottom white with it. Using white antifouling paint seems like it would still show some scum, but I guess I'm not sure. Anyone had any experience?

Thanks!
Kris

I have it on mine and i docked it all summer. It still gets a little scummy but cleans off easy and I think it don't look neer as bad as bottom paint.

I too use Pettit Vivid Antifouling shown here 2 yr's old with a dirty scumline on my C.C. after two weeks of not scrubbing it, but it does clean off nicely with a medium stiff brush on a pole which I wish I had done before taking this photo.

To apply
Use a sponge roller to apply for a smooth brush free appearance, and only use a brush to cut into those tight corner edges.
Please Note:
Sorry for some reason I don't see the attachment button to up load the pic's I wanted to show, I guess its because i'm not a paying member?

Sea Hawk Mission Bay is also an excellent competitor to Vivid. It has bright colors and does not lose it color. However, white is always subject discoloration from scum. My buddy has had it on his boat for 2 years (white) and it still looks pretty good.
