Fiberglass fender repair
The other day I was backing my trailer into a tight ramp and scuffed the black fiberglass fender on the side behind the rear wheel. It rubbed through the paint in one area down to the white glass underneath and scuffed the rest of it (its a line about 3/8" wide by 6" long), plus caused some spider cracking under the paint just above the wheel. I haven't tried repairing fiberglass and repainting before, but was just wondering what I would be in for if I tried to repair this myself? What kind of paint would I need to do this? Are there any rattle can products out that that would work? Would a regular body filler work to smooth the scratches prior to painting? Any help would be appreciated! I'll try to post a picture later today.

Sounds like a pretty good project to try your hand at glass work. Actually these days you could probably do the entire repair with rattle can stuff and yes a quality body filler can be used. Get some pics up if you can and I'll give ya a quick run down on a basic repair. Something you could probably do on an afternoon.
