Ben
Did you have the ends of the inner strakes blended into the hull like the original strakes or are they cut square at the end and sharpened like the pic in post 45? I should be adding some in the next few weeks and was curious.
Thanks

Great work and great pix!
It's always nice to see guys doing mods to there boats not just for the quest of speed but for better handeling.
I have a 28' single engine V bottom boat that has BBC twin turbo engine.
The hull is an Aero marine used by panther, python, magnum,Sunsation and others.

I have been working out the bugs In the engine and have spent most of the summer doing it. I know have them sorted out and am starting to see this boat has some handeling issues after it reaches 80+ MPH
I don't have a delta pad but have been told by a few people it's a good hull design. What I would like to know and learn here is how do I make this boat run more stable at high speed. This Engine is only making 5 lbs and I have already seen it touch 90 mph but get really out of shape which I would like to fix!
If I upgrade the turbos down the road and make even more boost this thing will need to Handel way better than it does now!
Soooo where do I start?

It has a SSM#3 drive with a 2 sp B&M trans
I already know the X dimension is way to deep and plan on installing a #5 drive which is 6" shorter to start tuning the X dimension and props.

What I want to know what to do to the hull to make it Handel high speeds !
So any info here would be great

If you are planning to go with the #5, start with that. The handling will most likely get way better with the higher X.

Also, check the straightness of the bottom.

I noticed your tabs are flat to the water where mine are angeled with the transom does that make a difference in the handling?

They will respond quicker when they are parallel to the waters surface.
