Default Duplicolor metalcast

Has anyone used this stuff for engines and accessories?
The blue looks like an exact match to Mercury Racing Blue and I was really curious if anyone had tried the purple yet? some pics look good and some look too fuscia.

No not the purple but other colors(more then one) they look just like the lid if you use the base coat. Try it on a test pice and see if you like first.

Did my engine with the green. Use a real good primer and let it cure at least 72hrs. Then, use two coats of the silver base and make dam sure you're ready to lay the colour coats as directed. 10 minutes too long between the base and colour or coats of colour too long and you get krinkel paint.

Use their engine clear within 10 minutes of the final colour coat and lay it wet and you will get a great finish. I even tosed in one coat of MetalFX before the clear for a little extra bling.

I used their base on the blue engines to get a even look, the red on the steering wheel was already a nice brushed alum finish, so sprayed right over that..looked great..
