Painting the stripes...

Hey, all.
I'm about due for a new interior.

Before I do that, I'm thinking about changing the color scheme on the boat stripes.

The maroon has been wetsanded, and just doesn't "shine" anymore. The stripe with the "Force" logo is a dull grey, which has always been ugly.

I don't have the cabbage for a full paint job, I was just thinking of re-doing the maroon and grey stripes, which are also on the bow.

Surely a good auto body painter would be able to handle this, you think? I'm not talking about a back yard guy who just happens to own a compressor and a gun, but a professional painter.

Or, if I can find a boat guy within a reasonable distance, what would be a ballpark price? I've heard about $8000-$10,000 for a full boat quality job, and the wife said that ain't happening.

Any advice?

about $2,000 a side

Forgive my ignorance, but $2000 a side is half way to a full paint job, from what I understand.

I'm just interested in the two 6" wide stripes. Am I still looking at $4000?

'ppreciate the answers!

My quote actually included the complete sides. Black maroon and grey, sorry i forgot to mention that in the PM. If the Gel on the deck is still good its best to preserve that if you can and do just the stripes.
