Default how to touch up small cuts in fiberglass from winch?

We had a winch that took a crap and put some 1 to 2" long 1/8 wide cuts into the gell coat.. luckily it is in a all white area.. simple cures?? should I just mix up some gel coat and squegee it over or something?

It's a fairly simple job, but they will have to be sanded, filled, and smoothed.

There is some stuff called Evercoat at west marine. It is a gelcoat repair tube. Small amount of white gel in it. I used it in a few places. My only complaint with it is that it does not dry solid for a long time, much longer than what it says on the package. After about a month or so, it is rock hard and seems to be holding up well.
