Repainting Bravo 1 Lowers
Going to have the boat off the lift and in storage for a while and wanted to repaint the lower units on each bravo drive as the sheen has been lost and the black has faded.
Any recommendations on paint?
Would you paint the lowers and then apply a clear coat protective layer over the new paint job?
Also, would i need to sand down the lowers before painting or can I just paint over the current faded black paint?
Any suggestions/recommendations on painting lower is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Single stage black, either Imron or Deltron. Imrons probably best though, tough stuff.

Mercury sells a paint just for outdrives. lights sanding wipe down with a cleaner to remove sanding dust. I usually spray with carb cleaner and paint. Looks like new when dries
