Wax remover/degreaser before polishing??

Every season I wash my boat and use a light polish Presta Chroma 1500 and then follow up with Collinite 885 paste wax. My question is should I use some kind of a wax remover degreaser first before I polish to remove the previous wax from last season, or will the new polishing do this for me? Just wondering if it will make the polishing better?Thanks in advance.

I just use Dawn Dish Soap when I want to strip the wax.

Thanks, Would you recommend doing it each season prior to polishing and waxing?

Yup. If you don't, your going to just get build up on your pad and it'll look like crap.
