Default How do you fix this??? Minor Keel damage.....

Got a boat here that has some very minor damage on the keel but the owner wants it fixed. I DO NOT know how to do this. I am wondering if it is tough or can it be done by a beginner.

The keel guard broke on the trailer at the end of the season and it scraped on the trailer either loading or unloading. Any help is appreciated.

Oh, and the larger spot is about 4" x 1/2", just looks big in the pic.

Doesnt look like it should need more than a little Marine -Tex and some gel.

Feather it out a little past the damaged area, then either spray or brush on gel to build up to the surrounding area, block sand and polish.

We just learn about this in school If theres no structural damage just sand around the damage and then tape off just a little inside of your sand ( this will help prevent halo) 70cc of gel coat should be enough. so mix 70 cc of gel coat with 30cc of patch ade and 2cc of clear mekp. spray your patch spraying more is better then less after you spray the repair and clean your gun mist some spray cure over the patch this will help your gel coat cure since its air inhibited let cure for about 90 mins and then just sand it flat I would start with about p800 and work your way up then just compound and wax
