Isolating tool with a good blade, the best blade I have found is the dremel carbide blade. A angle grinder with the roll lock sanding disc aka paddle wheels, they eat old tabbing off when redoing stringers and transom work. A good circle saw, you can set the depth of the blade to the transom thickness and cut a grid into the transom to remove each square. Tyvex suits with the hoodie made on. A 3M respirator with the full face cover/shield. A reciprocating saw. A good set of gasket scrapers, I have a nice set of snap-on scrapers I use to chisel out each of the pieces of the transom grid after cut with circle saw. A few beers to take the edge off of doing fiberglass work. And the best tool of all, OSO advise.

Keep the recommendations coming ,
What about Long boards ? Anybody like the 16" Airboards? I have 2 of the 3M 30" boards , what about air-powered 30" is there such a thing?
How about Abrasive Brands , Norton , 3M , Mirka , Pferd , what works good and what doesn't ?

HF air plainer board word well for the money. Snap on DA orbitals 6". 90 degree angle grinder with 3m rollock disks. 3m makes nice hand file boards. Id like to see ideas for dust collectors. As for abrasives. I'm a fan of mirka. I've played around with 3m recently and for the added cost I don't find myself saying WOW! Norton is fine, not a huge fan tho.

Paint gun... SATA or nothing... Maybe iwata never sprayed one I hear they shoot nice tho

315duramax, I'd like some ideas on Dust Collectors also , what are you pros that do this every day using? I have a friend in MO that has a large Body Shop and he uses a complete Dynabrade System in his shop.
He told me if the guys don't use it religiously he cans their ass! He said there is no reason to have a shop full of dust.

Buy bag filters (typically used for drywall dust) as you will plug a normal filter in short order.

Find an ambitious young person who doesn't know any better and pay them to help do the dirty work. That's one of the best tools you can buy!
