Looking to update the tired looking foamy vinyl dash pads. I guess they could be painted with the vinyl paint, but curious if anybody has done anything better.

Cutting a new piece of vinyl and glueing it over existing dash is an option. Harder to do. Hafta pull everything from dash instead of masking the stuff off...

I may try the vinyl paint as some folks here have had great luck with it with the proper prep. If that fails then I can recover it. The glove box lid would be the biggest challenge in covering with new material.

Vinyl and fabric paint works pretty good!! Make sure to use the prep spray first!

I only see positive feedback for the SEC kit. They don't have the orange that I want but might make do with a different color.

That's impressive, and thanks for troubling to post those pics. What color is that?

That was SEM 15313 White and SEM 15373 flame red. Now don't get me wrong. Painting those didn't make them new. They still were cracked and stiff. What it did was bought me a year until I was able to replace. Now on the side panels I never had to replace becuase they were fine.
We ran that boat one summer done like that and never had a problem. Didn't come off, cleaned up well. My friends laughed but were surprised how well it turned out. I have used it many time on car interior. So I figured why not.
