Thanks a lot! I think, the best way is to take the original dimensions from your single version of this boat. But before i start, i will trying to read and understand the links (i have to translate it.... ;-) )

" X dimensions not something we really have record of around here for older boats…….we have always been higher than Mercury’s standard X dimension. Depending on model …etc…. anywhere from 1 to 2 ― “ higher. Your best bet might be finding a guy that owns a 281 single ( owners forum or owners face book page ) …..and get some measurements from them ? Also wanted to mention at some point we had both a single engine hull and dual engine hull for 281….eventually using the dual hull for both applications I think. Sorry we could be more helpful ……just not a lot of info around here on older boats anymore …..through 2 ownership changes, etc……and not sure how it relates to same on a new 300 Convincor either, Kip."

Itīs good to know, Checkmate uses a higher position than normal and iīm confirmed in my thinking - so i can use the distances from your single engine version. Great!
