I painted the toons on my pontoon with Epoxy primary then paint. I sanded them with 120 on a DA wipe them down with acetone, sprayed the EP let dry, scuff with red scotch brite then painted. Its tough as nails and has been holding up awesome.

I did use this stuff on the bottom of the toon and you cant scrap it off with a knife if you wanted too. It spendy and a PITA to install but seemed to be worth it.
