Finally figured it out!
3 Years ago I purchased an 04 22 Classic, It was a rescue boat with low hours. Interior was perfect but the gelcoat was trash. Had a guy wet sand and buff came out looking great. At 63 and boating all of my life with owning more boats than I can count on two hands, my 22 Classic was the most challenging. After spending countless hours on this forum I finally came to the conclusion that everything every body says about these boats is correct. It's a drivers boat! You need seat time! I could not get over the fact of old school go fast boating trim up with no tabs! You can't do that with this boat, and once I pulled my head out of my butt I realizied how much fun this boat can be to drive. I'm running a Rev 4 25P at 74mph but am wanting to try the original prop Mirage Plus 25P 3 blade to see if I get anymore MPH?

Love the 22 Classic, they sound like a fun boat to drive and look great of course. They're often referred to as a "driver's boat" and I've figured that out. In layman's terms, they'll run hard but they're a huge handful! Enjoy! RR . |
Welcome to the cult and glad to hear you survived the learning curve. For top speed you should be able to raise both tabs as you raise the drive.
