1990 wellcraft nova 23' replacing all the wood
Im replacing the transom and stringers on my nova i would like to attempt to remove the deck to access the stringers. From cockpit to transom. Has anyone done this? What should it look out for and or where do i start? I would like to avoid cutting it into a million pieces because i want to re-use it. its in 9 out 10 shape and solid.

Memeber HBlair I think it is has a few threads documenting doing that to a couple scarabs. Its doable, but a lot more work than you think. Derig the entire boat, pull the rubrail and screws, break the gunk up and lift... then find all the places the inner liner is tabbed in, cut the tabbing and lift the inner liner out. , before you do anything shore the boat up well as once you pull the deck and cut stringer its going to flex and you dont want to put it back together all wavey
