Cuddly Cabin door piece broken off
Please help, I have a 1997 Baja model 272 with Cuddy cabin. The area of the cuddy cabin door where the doorlock has two bolts that go through the door to secure the lock has broken. I need to unscrew the lock, Remove the broken piece which of course has broken through the two bolt holes because that was the weakest part. I can remove the piece and it will fit right back in where it needs to be but I do not know what the strongest adhesive is. I also do not know if it is white acrylic or fiberglass. What is the strongest adhesive to use as there is much stress due to the opening and closing of the door. Thank you my friend

If you think it can be repaired by sticking it back together the strongest stuff I've seen is epoxy resin with the glue additive powder .
This is not to be confused with the 2 part epoxy glue syringes you can get at a hardware shop .

Is there a name for this stuff and can I get it at Home Depot or West Marine? Do I have to buy the resin and powder separately and know how to mix it or is it a kit?

The door looks like it’s made out of the same stuff that Starboard is made of. Is this stuff that F2 was talking about is a kit and if it is where do I get it?

If the door is made of starboard it might not be possible to successfully glue it . Starboard remains quite resinous and slippery over the course of its life and generally does not accept gluing as well as other materials .
The stuff I'm talking about is normal epoxy resin and hardener with the glue powder additive . If you have few other options other than buying a whole new door it might be worthwhile at least giving it a try .
