242 Bimini Pics wanted.

Re: 242 Bimini Pics wanted.
My 242 has never been fitted with a Bimini.
I am hoping to buy the Bimini from Formula.
I have e-mailed them to find out if the windscreen on the Fastech models are the same width as the 242. (Awaiting reply).
If it is then i will order one and then get the side panels custom made in the UK.
I was thinking of having Black material. Has anyone got any experiences to share regarding black cloth?
I am not a fan of Bimini's myself, but i do like to stay over on board at the weekends and could use the additional space created by the camping covers.
SO STOP TAKING THE P*#S.

If you live where its really warm and sunny most of the time, I would advise against black. The temperatures under that black material will become unbearable.
I think Cuda has a black full-length storage cover. He lives in Florida. When the local Pizza Hut is really busy, they bring the uncooked pies over to Cuda's boat and slide 'em under the cover for like 8 minutes.....................done!!

Ah, but it's just a cockpit cover. It's only used if I have to leave the boat in the water overnight (poker run). Even the mooonlight in Florida ain't that hot!
