Bow Hatch Painting

I'm planning on painting the 4 hatchs on the bow of my SR357. They are blacknow and I'd like to paint them white.

The issue becomes what to do about the glass/plastic in them. THe plastic is scratched and discolored. What is that stuff they use to pain bus windows with graphics that you can see thru yet looks like a color?

Does anyone know how it's applied, sodl and where/who sells it?

I had excellent results, believe it or not, with Krylon's "Fusion" paint (spray can) available at most hardware stores, Home Depot, etc. It still allows a "diffused" light to filter through to the inside, yet on the outside looks all white.

I painted mine two years ago and still looking great.

Its a vinyl sticker that about any good sign shop can make for you. And with the technology they have out now they should be able to match the color of you boat paint/gel with little problem.

The guy i deal with has a new machine that can transfer photo quality images to vinyl now! They just did a box van with an image of a dirtbike rider doing a 360 flip......its wild to say the least! :)

How's it match your gel? Is the Krylon color just white? Did your just paint them on the boat, or did you remove the hatches. I am also thinking of doing the same to my 357.
Thanks

I think I've found the right stuff--now I just have to take the hatches out and take them to the sign shop. The stuff is a little pricey--$15/sq ft. so materials are going exepsnive. www.clearfocus.com/products.html

That Krylon comes in assorted colors, the white matched well. I like it because it still let diffused light in.

I just masked the hatches off really well and sprayed them in place.
