Bad News

Well I got some bad news this past week from my doctor, he says that my neck can't take any more pounding around, so it looks like I have to put my 292 Fastech up for sale. Of all the things I wouldn't mind giving up boating isn't one of them.
So i must put my baby up for sale ,to a good home.

2003 292 Fastech, with 6.2s, and I just had a custom bimini and surround made for it this winter, too. It's pristine, about 130 hours, two sets of props, one of which is a set of Merc Racing labbed 30p.

If anyone is interested give me a call, price is negotiable.

Sorry to hear that man, I hope everything works out with your neck!

I'll let you know about the props in a few weeks after I splash the boat. Good luck.

Didn't you tell your doctor you drive a Formula??!! He would surely allow you to continue if he knew that. :D

But seriously, sorry for your news and good luck with the sale.

Thanks everybody. It's really hard to have to give it up, but it's even harder to have to look at her sitting in the driveway
wondering why I don't get her out to play.

I am really going to miss this.

Can't you just go out and bob around at 5mph and drink a whole lot of beer :)? Sometimes I think that is just as fun as flying around, and at least you'd be on the water. Maybe sell her and get an older smaller one as the "floating bar"?

NECK BRACE BABY!!!! Ok now that you can keep it run the snot out of her :D:D

What was it with your neck that would cause this? If you do not mind me asking... Are there like exercises that you can do to get your neck muscles back in form? Or was it a spine thing....

Re: Bad News

I've have 1 disc removed and 1 disc ruptured and still am running my 272SR-1.
I just can't sit and ride, I have to stand and absorb the shocks with my legs.
If this is a new occurance then give it time to heal.
Approx 18-24 months for me before I could function "normal"
In the waiting period I would just pudder around at slow speeds till I got "brave enough" to put more throttle.
I'm now 5 years past surgery and 2 years past rupture and I'm looking at BA!!s to the walls on flat water.

I guess my point is don't give-up too soon.....unless you are using this to sell your boat with the idea of getting a "bigger boat"

If the better half says
"Why do you want to buy a bigger boat?"
just answer
"Well you keep buying BIGGER dresses!"
Just be sure you are not within arms reach when you say it :evilb:
