Tips & Silencers
 

I yanked my silent thunder box over the winter and need exhaust tips. Any thoughts on tips w/ slip-ins. I'm looking at slip-in X-type silencers, they seem to be a good deal if they work w/o losing power. For now I have the stock through-hulls with rubber flappers to get me back on the water.

I used some muffler tips I got at a surplus place--they've got some sort of baffle in them and they mellowed exhaust tone adn gave mild noise reduction vs the stright-thru tips I had before. Also made a swim platform out of starboard to replace a teak platform. Here's some pics for reference.

Thanks for the pics, those look nice. I hope to get some on-order soon but I think I'm gonna run her first to see how loud it is with the straight pipes.
