axapowell,
I'm living in the 20th century with NO scanner to e-mail you pictures, however my gps antenna is on the port side gunnel about 6 inches back from the port cleat. I just got my boat this year and don't know how well it will pick up the satelite (hopefully good). Hope that helps! toolman (Dave) |
When I was searching the net looking for a boat, I saw a picture of a formula with the antenna clamped to the ss grabhandle inside the cockpit, behind the driver's bolster along the side. I have no idea how well it picked up the signals, but it looked slick.

My VHF antenna is mounted to the same interior rail.
Works good but it's in the way when I put up the bimini. Should work fine for a GPS antenna. My FM radio uses the grab handle (no external antenna) on the port side for it's antenna. I will be mounting a base on the starboard gunnel for the VHF this spring. |
