Well, since we didn't splash the boat this weekend, I took the time to look under the dash.
Yep, the speedo hose was busted. In fact it's so dried out that each time I bent a section it snapped in two. I'll have to replace the whole run from transom to gauge.

Iggy,
Save yourself the trouble, and just order up a GPS Speedo from Fred at Trick. You will be much better off, and more accurate.

No doubt....but my budget won't allow it. 20' of 1/8 hose is far cheaper right now.
One day I hope to replace all the gauges. But till then I'll fix what I can.
For keeping track of speed and distance I have a hand-held GPS.
