Box is Gone And GGB's are on!!
 

Ok, Finally took off the silent thunder box and went with the GGb extreme transom mount mufflers, What a difference in appearence and sound!! Was about a 3 hour job removing the tips and installing the mufflers, As luck would have it the screw holes for the tips were the same pattern as the studs on the mufflers so only had to drill thru the screw holes thru the transom and bolt on the ggb's, Even with the built in reversion valve i went with salsbury flaps also.

No loss of rpm's and no loss of speed, But a loss of weight off the back of the boat and a nice rumble to keep the noise police away!!!

Don't worry they are going to be all over Paul and his new Cig. That thing is UNREAL!!!!! I could hear him loud and clear from my land :eek: :eek:

Audio, Paul and Kurt launched the cig saturday while i was waxing the 312, and yes, Paul is going to have issues definatly, I am sure neil will be stopping by to see him :( :(

Troutly, Yes i did have a reading taken last year by the game warden when i had the box off with just the tips, 3' back and 3' up was 101 db we are allowed 90 db here, I am confident that it will be less then 90 or so because it is not a whole lot louder with the mufflers then it was with the silent thunder box, :D :D

Troutly, I did not get one with the box on, Unfortunatly, The warden was not interested, But i got his attention when i took it off :eek: :eek:

Formula you hear anything about the issue up there? I am hopeing with whats his face leaveing town that the issue was going to die..... I hoped that with his leaveing town that the issue would die.... One can hope anyhow..... I hope that mine is no place near as loud as Pauls as my motors are similiar to his with smaller blowers and a few less cubes..... That thing did get me all wet just listening to it!!!! :eek: :eek: You going up this weekend? I will be up there from Friday late afternoon tell Monday. Looks like a lot of rain again but stop by and hoiste a few with us.. I am staying over at the Bayview Cabins this weekend to try and stay warm.... Audio, Its a bomby 43 today, This weather sucks, It has rained going on 2 weeks, I will be up friday till monday also, I am directly across at naples marina from where you are, If you are looking out the front our dock is the second one from the right near ricks cafe and charlies rest, On the end of our dock is a party barge, a 34' Rinker and a 33 outlaw,I am 5 boats down from the 33 outlaw facing long lake, (34' Carver/w white radar arch with sliding glass doors my formula is slipped behind it, I will be at Bray's friday night if you want to stop in, (I will buy you a drink) Yes, Pauls boat is load but i figured with timmy dorr doing the motors that he would have went with the ggb's, Those 575's really got a awakeing with a cam change!!! It looked like he had teagues on there, but no way thats going to get by neil. (Warden)

Unfortunatly, :( :( (So i have heard) even with J@#%A** moving (and he has not sold yet) I hear the warden is going to be monitoring Brandy and Long Lake all summer, He keeps his boat at the marina that i am at and that is what the latest is, Allan had donated over $500,000.00 dollars to the Maine Warden Service along with a grant from Boat US to promote safe boating, PS you won't need a cooler to keep the beer cold just throw em in the lake, I think the water was like 48 or so, Jeff

Ya I heard that he "donated" a but load of money to them. Kurt was saying that Neil did not want to deal with it any more and it was not a safty issue so I guess I was just hoping......
