1992 Formula 357
 

What would be a fair price on this boat? It has 502's rated at 500 hp. It also comes with a 1998 Eagle triple axle trailer. What do you guys think top speed would be?

Well 272, I've been waiting for someone to chime in who may have a real accurate value but, I'll give my .02.

Let's assume it's a real cream puff,,,,,, gotta go for 60-65k. That's just my guess, lots of variables here. Got pics? Salt? Trailer? Canvas, Hours? And of course, you'll need tons of umph to pull that beast around.

Give us some more details. What an Ontario wave crusher that would be. Not many around here.

Here is the details of this boat copied from the auction:

This auction is for a 1992 Formula Boat. This is a FRESHWATER boat. It has been used in the 1000 Islands & Canada. The model is 357SR1. It is 35' Long. It has TWIN 502 Chevy engines. They are 500 Horsepower each. Their are 560 hours on the boat. The engines were rebuilt at 300 Hours. The engines were rebuilt to get more horsepower out of them originally they had 465 horsepower each, now they have 500 each. The former owner worked for GM so he had access to all the "engine goodies." It has Camper Canvas, refrigerator, and head with pump out. The trailer is a 1998 Eagle Tri Axle. The Camper Canvas is gray, Sunbrella. The cockpit cover is a medium blue. The rear sundeck & seat has been changed to all white with die cut material from Formula for a much cleaner apperance. The side combing and bolsters are still in the original colors. This boat and trailer is stored INSIDE at all times unless it is BEING USED. It is NOT stored in the water. This boat and trailer are in EXCELLANT CONDITION. :D

That should hit around 70 mph. Price, I'd think around $50k.

It ought to do a bit better than 70 if it really does have 500hp/side. My '85 357 with 540hp per side has hit 77 and is solid low 70s boat most any day. TRS drives aren't that bad and should hold up. The old 357s are nearly as big as a new 382. Much more comparable to a 382 than a new 353. I think it will weigh in a bit under 9,000 to 10,000 lbs. Price sounds about right if it's really nice. Does it have a/c and a genset?

looks nice ..... I would say 50-65K ....but ...you gona buy it unseen ??? I have done that and would not again ....

I gotta 89 with lots stuff added includung new motors...The value of a boat is totally related to it's condition. Need some pics

Check Boattrader.com I have an 86 357 there. Engines are new, zero hours. Hull's in great shape.
