No, you haven't crossed into an alternate universe...

Too Old is boating (in a Formula no less) and I'm working on mine.

moved 2 guages, and put in plotter. The wheel is from Trick Marine. :D

the plotter was a tight fit, though I had downloaded the template and sized this all up ahead of the purchase. Tight fit between guages and the "FasTech" on the panel...and the hinge arm on the outside. All is well.

transom stereo remote added (they are standard now..as of '04 I believe). On the other side, are the transom trim switches.
These trim switches should be stock. Great to have at the beach and on the trailer. I've put 'em on my last 3 boats. plug and play, though I had to make a harness extension for the port side to reach around the perimeter to the bulkhead mounted pump for port.

I also made the 4 wire harness for the stereo remote. Tap spliced it into the wires at the dash remote.
I have another one...and am considering putting it in the backseat area. :drink:

Re: Today in the shop part 2

I botched the trim switches sort of. Not as straight and clean as the usual...I'll have to live with it.

You do have to heat the decal up on one, cut out a little half circle with a razoo for the bezel screw. and turn it over (put the switch in upside down)...so the rockers are both on the "inside" for easy "peace sign" two finger manipulation. :p

Re: Today in the shop part 2

the mattress is almost done (see other thread). I've decided to cover it in 2 layers of a "heather" light grey polycotton jersy sheet type material. Soft, breathable, and ....cheap!

six Infinity Reference speakers scattered in the cockpit are the next reason to saw holes in the boat. :evilb:

I have a couple Rockford 10" subs on hand also... :D

Your transom is starting to look like a dash board. Oughta just mount some throttles and a wheel back there and you'll never have to get onboard!!!!! :p

Too much work, not enough play! Looks great Rip. Get that thing in the water before Too Old's hour meter starts to pass yours! (Let's see the carpet!) :drink:

Dude,

You copied my steering wheel!!!! (mine is Purple though) Imitation, the sincerest form of flattery. Hope all is well in the boathouse. I think the NE Donzi club is up there early this year. We'll probably come up for that weekend. Make sure you and Axa secure a spot for us at the end of July!

5 inch...You and AXA can get back to work "winning friends and influencing people".
Maybe get together with O'Hara for high tea. :p

This is my 15th season there...
I'll be doing what I've always done...

enjoying my time off there during the week...
and cleaning. :D

I'm coming up with more ways to set the standard with the slip...

hmmm. :eureka:

C'mon Rip, before Axa and I that place was like a morgue with boats instead of pull out drawers. That place was in serious need of socialization. I thought I had heard Bill was selling his boat. Maybe he's just looking to upgrade. We'd sure miss him if he left. That would probably leave you to take over the publishing of the boat house times. I shudder to think of that first edition. In honor of the formula phoenix we could rename it Das Boaten Haus :chick:
