Looked at 330SS with composite drives today
 

Wife and I looked a couple new Formulas today, mostly for size. Looked at the 330SS and a 27PC.

The 330SS had Volvo 8.1s with composite outdrives. I had never seen those before. Will they stand the test of time?

The 330SS was really nice but after getting into the cabin of the 27PC, there is a whole lot more room and head room in there.

The new 330SS are like $168K base price (small motors, no options) and the 27PC we looked at with twin 350s was $145K. I've seen 1996 330s in the $60K+ range and the 95-96PCs in the $50K+ range. My understanding is that with twin 350s the 27PC will do 50mph at WOT.

My next boat might have to be cruiser.
