really...I got nuthin' in the mail yet.

2% money for 15/20 years?
I don't think so

...past practice is why a 353 w/425's is now 250K base retail...and they're most likely not widening the margin in the dealer's interest. The "real price" is going through the roof too. How else are they gonna pay for that big expansion?

Re: great deal ...

I wonder if the 1.99% fixed is jsut for the part of the loan amount. Maybe the amount over $100,000 or something like that. Gotta read the fine print.

I visited my local Formula Dealer (South Austin Marine) and they don't even participate in the 0% 12 month deal. After seeing High Point's deals of 0% for 36 months I couldn't even consider it.

I don't know if I could cough up the down payment anyway.

I am 99.9% sure it is 1.9 .... said < 100K 180 months >100K 240 months. you can still do the zero % for 18 (maybe 12) months then a reduced rate after that ...... I am work tonite but will reread or maybe scan it and post it ....m

Details ... It is not Formula but "Passport Marine" in Miami and St. Pete ...it is 1.99% but it is on in Stock models ... other options also ....I guess this is why magicfloat did not chime in .... 723.00 month for 143K ..

Re: great deal ...

I think this is the deal from Hi Lift Marine. There are boats on OSO classifieds from them. When I put in the web site listed on the brochure www.buyformula.com it put me through to Hi Lift. Is Passport Marine and Hi Lift the same thing?

If it is on in stock models they have an '04 353 and an '04 382. I don't know if I would want to buy an '04 as a new boat. But, that 1.99% for life is a great deal.

Re: great deal ...

Called the number ..... "Passport Marine" At "Highlift Marina" ...same place but could be two different businesses .... The Marina here on Dr's Lake has a) Doctors Lake Marina b)Isle of Palms marine service c) Doctors Lake Boat Sales ...same place 3 different Businesses ...

It is a little decieveing .... the flyer looked almost identical to the stuff Formula sends out about their special Financing ... There is no more 1.99% money with a prime of 6.5% ...So someone would pay ..somewere ... ... Your just going to have to look at the true bottom line ..... This was in no way an endorcement .. Dont really know em ..... Just threw it out there ... :drink:

My assuption is that Formula is buying down the interest rate somehow to attract more buyers to the brand. The 1.99% may pull in some buyers who were on the fence between brands or convince previous owners to trade up. (kinda like what GM, Ford, etc are doing now with "employee pricing")
