353 speed...
 

Just curious to see if anyone on this board has an idea of the honest GPS top end of a 353 Fastech with 496 HO's...my guess would be low 70's with a couple of adults and 1/2 fuel, gear, etc. Does that sound about right? Thanks!

The new 353 Sports will run an "honest" GPS 75 mph+ (I have seen as high as 77 MPH, and I think Magicfloat has seen that number or higher on one of his. I do think the newer 353's are a tad faster than the older boats, probably due to more aggressive "X" dimensions and other set-up refinements. For older 353's I think you're correct, low 70's. Newer boats, mid 70's.

Tom is right on as always,we have seen 75.3 and 76.7 GPS,on 05's. Robert
