trade in value
how do i find out what the real trade in value of my boat is.i have been to a few dealers to talk about trading and there offers are all over the place

Re: trade in value
Trade in will vary based on what they are "giving" you off the new boat. If you negotiate the best price on the new boat, they are going to give you 80% of wholesale on the trade. If you pay sticker on the new boat, they'll give you high retail on the trade.
Find out what other boats like yours are selling for (not asking prices) and figure they are going to need to be around 10% below that. If you are still happy with that deal then sign the papers, otherwise sell it yourself. |
