f 35-7 engine room picture
Does anybody could post pictures of each exterior side of engine. I have to change transom and stringers, and I,m wondering what is on each side except hydraulique hoses and blowers. Wish I could close the sides for extra storage box. Any thoughts about that?

Re: f 35-7 engine room picture
You could close the sides in but is could limit your access to spark plugs and what not.

Hey jeff32. Looks like you are gonna be working hard on that one.
The boat i have is 1989 I bought the boat in 2001. Ran it for two seasons. Then a complete rebuild was needed. This is the second rebuild in four seasons. The engines are back in the boat and nearly ready for 2006 season. :drink: |

Some pictures of the projects.....
First one is while we were in the middle of the stringer replacement. Second one is what it looked like at the start before I did anything. That was at my old shop were I started my business..... MEMORIES!!!!! Last one is about how it looks now. Take a look at all the dust that I made!! That Porsche is covered in dust!! |

Those stringers are under the cockpit floor
Yes however I do have some new mills :D :D |
Re: f 35-7 engine room picture
Hey Audiofn.
You are doin / done a fine job there. Itsa shame those stringers are covered with the cockpit floor :D It looks like the boat is gonna take some abuse on completion. |
Re: f 35-7 engine room picture
Ya it will get used well. I have to still do the stringers up in the cabin and take out the entire cabin. I am not going to put the interior back into the boat. I plan to put larger bulkheads into the cabin and only have a very small seating area just in case I have kids in the future.....

That should make the boat a bit lighter for sure.
How fast you going to run on completion with the engines you have. I found with my boat there is quite a bit of flex on the fore deck and it would be good to strengthen that area up a bit. Here is a shot of the boat runnin 4 Guests Half full on fuel; A realy cool ride. :D |
Re: f 35-7 engine room picture
I have no idea on speed. Maybe 75? I would **** if I hit 80. The boat did fex a LOT before but that was with all rotten out mess under the floors. I think that with the bulkheads most of that will be gone. I also am doing things like tieing the bulkheads into the sides of the boat (something that Formula did not do back then). I am going to put all the bulkheas back in stock but glassed at first and see what I have. If it needs more at that time I will see what I want to do. I am hoping that by just glassing the stuff in in stead of having it screwed in with blocks that it will add a ton of strenght.
