Flame arrestors

I would like to install aftermarket Flame Arrestors on my 292. Has anyone done this and witch ones did you use ? I am also thinking about adding aftermarket exhuast manifolds. The boat has 350 mags.

It will look nicer when you are done, but you probably will not gain any performance by putting them on 350 mags.

Figure 3500 for manifolds, and 300 to 600 for arrestors, your looking at 4000 and no real performance gains.

Revolution Marine is now doing small block manifolds for about $1000 per pair. Your best power increase would be vortec heads with edlebrock performer rpm intake. Just did this change on a boat about $800 in parts per motor.

I remember reading in a magazine, they dyno tested different flame arrestors... turned out genuine merc were the best!!!
