575SC fuel requirements
Sold a 382 with 575's,marina only has 89 octane,Merc says 91 octane. What are the customers options,Torco octane booster,10% 110 octane mix,Tolulene mix,or run 89 and take it easy?Merc says 89 by itself is not a problem, but on a hot day with lots of passengers and a hard boat to plane could be a problem. This boat has Sportmasters with a high X-dimension,cavitates coming on plane so maybe not as much load? Any comments?Robert

Re: 575SC fuel requirements
Robert, How about a pair of detonation sensors? Then he would always know if there was a problem. Livorsi has them.

Re: 575SC fuel requirements
Yes, they have 3 sensitivity settings for quiet to noisy engines, and have a meter as well as a set of dry normally open contacts.
