Seawater Strainers on 382 w/ HP500 EFI?

Hi Guys,

I have been thumbing through the owners manual for my '01 382 and found a Perko Seawater Strainer sheet for the 493 and 500 series strainers. I checked out a picture of the strainers on the web. Unless I'm blind, or these things are installed directly below the drive shaft behind the engines, they aren't on the boat.

Does anyone else have strainers w/ 500 EFI engines? Where are they? I'm wondering if Formula just stuck this sheet in by mistake or if it really is supposed to have strainers on it.

I pretty much saw every thing there was to see while I was on my sides installing the quick oil drain hoses and cleaning up the mess in the bilge from removing the oil drain plugs. It took forever to clean the mess up and I did a fairly good job keeping the oil from running up the troughs in the bilge. It'll be worth it though. Should make changing the oil a snap next time.

Thanks,
Garrett

Is it possible this is the strainer for the A/C located under the step in cabin?

One is connected to the gen-set, the other under the cabin step for the A/C.

Oh, duh. I've looked right at it a dozen times but it looks different from the top than the side pic on the web.

Thanks guys.
