SALE: bed conversion for 357

Is anybody interested in buying the bed conversion for the downstairs off a 1987 357 formula, ive decided im not going to use it.. What it is is the 2 pieces of wood that run the lenght of the seat, then there are 3 little pieces that connect to those 2 other pieces for support, there is a slab of nice folding wood that rest on all that to form a bed, then a piece of padding like whats down there on the seats goes on the wood to make a bed, i will take pics this weekend, give me offers if interested

Is that a factory option or something someone made? Never heard of it as being a stock item. I've considered doing that to my 311.

I made a conversion for my 311 and it was the best thing I ever did. Way better than trying to sleep in the v-birth.

ok-

ill try to explain this, the 2 pieces in pic 1 run the sides of the "hall way" downstairs if you will, then the 3 little pieces connect in slots to those rails on the sides, next the folding piece of wood slides into a groove on top, and finally the pad goes on top and fits perfectly into the groove... i dont know if any of that makes sense?

Re: SALE: bed conversion for 357

OK,, I'm gonna go on record here and say that is NOT an original equipment Formula option. (ref. Boomer's earlier post where he believes it to be factory original)

Not that this matters toward your sale of the thing, thats' not my point. I am only making the point because I like to know (and think I pretty much do know) what was original and what was not.

If that is original, then I've learned something about Formulas I never knew.

So, just for he sake of my Formula knowledge edification, let's hear some opinions,,,,,,,,, factory or not??

And, also for the record, I like the fill-in idea and it looks nicely done. I'd like to make one myself.

I know your's does but, it's a later model. I don't think Formula did that with earlier models.

So, hows things Rip? Couple months and we'll be tan again :drink:

all's good...

takin a little trip south shortly... gonna get a jumpstart on that tan. ;)

lotsa work to do here at the ranch, dressing out the yard and having the driveway redone + lots of the normal spring stuff...

got another truck on the way, big pile of pimpin' out parts piled up in the shop.

not alot to do to the boat other than some detailing I didn't do last fall.
