Goofy1103, me and a couple of other guys were wondering how those guys were able to add windlass' to their ol' Formulas! Any comments on that matter? I started a new thread about windlass' on older Formulas like they used in the video. LMK!

formula1- I think I e-mailed one of the guys with a windlass about where he did his boating (seems to me he posted in the pics of your boat thread on this forum). Sticks in my head that he has a giant Mecedes tractor and boats the Rhine and in the Med. The windlass was a factory option on the 419(?)- I often wondered what it cost to fill that baby up in the EU and how rare it must be to see a powerboat of any kind in Germany, much less a 40+ footer.

I was trying to figure out what size those boats were. They looked like 357's...

I went back to the "post your pics thread" and looked at the boat after I posted this- I don't think the guy I was talking to was in the video. If you do a thread search, his boat will show up and the subsequent posts talk about it. You may be right on the 357's- I will have to look at the vids again. Either way, pretty cool.

windlass was a factory option for SR 1 models
most boats in the video are 357 SR 1
My 419 SR1 is not in the video ( I was at the wrong place at the right time)

Filling up the tank once is 1600 US $ 240 gal

There are about 4 419 Formulas in Germany

Goofy1103- That is a super cool tow vehicle- do you have permit issues when you travel outside of Germany? I was btching the other day about a fill on my 311 at $3 a gallon . . .
