gas in bilge
i have a 302 and i have raw gas in the bilge no noticable leaks but it is coming from some where how hard is it to pull the tank any ideas thanks adam

Did it leak last year before he yanked the engine? If not I doubt it is the tank. Check where the fuel supply line is connected to the pump, check the fuel water separator, and check the fill hose.
You might have to look for it while it's running, make sure you are smoking when you do and it's parked next to mine. |

I tried on mine and looks like it is stuck in foam. Some told me to use solvent to melt the foam, some said to use chain saw in the foam(only the foam) and regular pry bar. one thing for sure: DON'T START ENGINE OR USE ELECTRICITY AT ALL BEFORE THIS IS FIXED !!! I don't know you but I'm sure you are worth enough to your family to avoid explosions.

well i pulled the tank out it was easy nothing to it they had a new tank in stock on a sunday put the new one in filled it up and back in business
jk cmoney and myself went to the boat and looked at the new sending unit i put in last year three of the five screws where lose and not long enough went and bought some longer screws and it seems ok that gets him one free boat ride thanks curt :evilb: |
