room for blowers on kaama?

Any one know if there is enough room in front of the motors for centrifugal blowers ? How about on top for Roots style ? Boat is a 357 with kaama drives. I haven't broken enough yet, so I was considering blowers to really tear things up.Thanks.

The B&M blowers on the 357 I just purchased had to have blocks put on the sunpad to clear the arrestors. Just an FYI

Hey Brian,
I'm not sure on a 357 but you will probably find that there is enough room up front for centrifugal and maybe even on top for a roots type blower without mods to the hatch. What people may or may not realize is that the Kaama boats have the engines mounted lower in the hulls than a merc installation. This makes blowers a little easier but creates a different situation on the bottom of the motors when you try to increase the oil sump capacity with a bigger oil pan. A "wing" style oil pan like a GIL won't work unless you get the specialized one with the wing only on the inside. These are available special order. The Kaama motors are so low that the pans actually touch the hull in some installations. Your 357 like my 402 should have plenty of room on top for some form of supercharger I would think..........Al

Thanks for the response. I didn't realize the engines were mounted that much lower. Seems like roots style might be the way to go clearance wise.
