Value of older 272

Yall know more than I do on this.Friend and old customer wants a new Formula, wants to trade in his 1988 272 with trailer.Recently re-powered with 454/425 hp crate motors, have 50 freshwater hours on them.Haven't seen the boat in a few years,it was flawless then, he stores it in his airplane hanger.I have no idea what to put in it. He is thinking maybe 15K,what do yall think? And for those that don't know, yall means"you guys" :D

I think $15K would be a good number for you, assuming the boat is clean...seems like 2 low hour 454 HOs motor would be worth $10K by themselves.

I would say if you can get for15k with a trailer and it is in good condition your going to make out well.Sold one a coulpe of weeks ago in my town and got $22,300.oo with a rusty trailer. :D

Would think 15K would be fine, you should be able to get 20 back out of it.
Seems pretty reasonable to me....

If the boat is clean and running good you should get upper 20's for it easy. (hopefully it's a bravo boat)

(A local guy called me the other day with an 1988 272 with "new" 350's and alpha SS drives on a trailer. It is in good condition and he wants 25-28K for his.)

My father sold his 1989 272 last year for 25k. It was in perfect condition and had almost 400 hrs on the orignal 454 mags. Also came with an 1997 aluminum tandem trailer. So I think 15K would be a good deal.

If the boats that nice , 15k should leave you room to hit a home run selling retail.
But I guess if he's happy

FYI I just paid $10,000 for mine without a trailer. 85 with small blocks in great shape. I think I stole it. So for a big block boat a couple years newer with a trailer. 15 would put in shape to move it fast if you wanted.
