Prop Ideas???

Hello All.
I am running a 454 tuned motor and WOT the tach is at 4000. Need a new prop. I am not sure what I am running until I pull it out of the water but I was looking for a few ideas. Please advise. Thanks guys.
Max speed on my stock odometer says 47

My boat is a 242LS with 454 magnum. I was running a 21 pitch mirage...turning over 5000rpm (too much) at 55mph. Switched to 22 pitch 4 blade Bravo I...running at 4800 rpms 56mph. The bravo I gets on a plane faster...and the ride is nicer too. Cruises at 35mph at 3200 rpms (or so) which is faster than the 21 pitch mirage.

You are way overpropped....I'd go with the above suggestion for a start.

You didn't say what you have now for a prop but I would agree with Formula Outlaw
4000 is way low.

Yes, that prop is just to big if your only spinnig 4000 rpm. I am running a bravo1 4 blade 22 pitch labbed a little an I spin 46-4700. I think you will be happy with this.

Isn't that kind of a personal question? ;)

A note about ROTATION
Do not confuse engine rotation with sterndrive or propeller rotation
ALL sterndrive Mercruiser Engines are left hand (standard, counterclockwise) rotation.
Most single engine boats use a right-hand rotation drive unit meaning that
the propeller rotation is right-hand (standard, clockwise) rotation.
