I got the ladder from Boat US/West Marine. Yes , a friend of mine who used to be a machinist made them from 1" stainless stock.
After a number of years of searching this was the widest ladder I've found. The 4 step is wider that the three step because the add the forth step to the top and of course its larger in diameter. |

I have had my platform off thier is no way to get in that section.The platform was made in two sections bottom half and upper, when they put the holes in they glassed in nylock nuts to hold the small bolt that would run up thru the platform. I just moved mine to the other side.

I see the water draining out of the platform...Is that piped through the platform or is just through the platform like the factory setup? It sounds good!

Yes it is piped all the way, when the exhaust exits the transom it dumps into a stainless then into the pipes. The water you see coming out of the platform comes from holes I put in the .s.s box, then I drilled holes in the platform for extra drainage
