Re: More 382 Questions-Please Help!

Sorry ya'll, I thought I mentioned that the boat in question was a 96! :p

Oh, and Formula also mentioned that the funky rattle (that kinda sounds like a valve or lifter) coming from the starboard side of the Silent Thunder platform is most likely on of the thru hull flappers going into the platform. It was mentioned that if it was a valve or lifter...I would know!

Well, I was able to speak with the always helpful people at Formula and they sent me most of the data I needed. It turns out the the 502/415's came with 21P, the 502/500 came with 23P and the 454/525 came with 25P. The particular boat I'm speaking about must've had 23P 3-blades
because the specs match almost exactly (speed and RPM wise).

The top speed info I could get was on the 502/415 and it topped out at 62MPH @ 5000 RPM. The 502/500 topped out at 70 MPH (no RPM given) and the 454/525 topped out at 72 MPH (no RPM given).

No fuel data was given for anything but the 502/415. It consumed 26 GPH @ 3000 RPM (which is 34 MPH). I'm sure that by switching to 4-bladed props the fuel consumption would drop and cruising speed would increase.

Doesn't seem to hateful...

I have some 24P Bravo's on my ol' 292. I'll keep those and try 'em on the 382 if all goes well. :p

What did your 24 bravos run ? I am going to try 26's in the AM THANKS :D
