It is a sickness we all have.

At this point in time if the deal does fall through on your outlaw,Then........... Enjoy the boat you busted your ass to get the way you wanted and enjoy it for a year or two. Take the money you would have spent and invest it safely or make the monthly payment to seperate savings account and in a year or two then upgrade.

Remember there always is a boat for sale that we have to have.

As for upgrading......I'm sure you've thought of numerous senarios and I can't add anything that would be the deciding factor. A buddy did do something to help with the heat and sun that you may interested in. (Cuda is gonna love this!) He had an all rail bimini built that sits just above his head and folds back and lays into the engine compartment out of the way. It attaches to the inside of the sides so not to detract from the lines of his Active Thunder. He's run 80mph with it up and no problems with it flapping in the wind. (although he did go to someone known for build these types of tops.) Although a few (Cuda) may not agree, it may be the compromise that keeps you out on the water but out of the sun.

Outlaw, I was only a couple of steps behind ya in upgrades, but now they are done! :p :cool: Now, it looks like the 292 will stay with me for another few years! :rolleyes: So, I know exactly how you feel. Sounds like a nice 353, though. I was trying to sell mine for a 382. Seemed like the next logical step up for me. But, that deal has fallen apart.

If you wind up keeping Outlaw (or even if you get your 353), we should meet up somewhere!

I say sell the Outlaw before she gets too old - sit out boating a year and see what the market (fuel prices) bares.

on another note I always thought you were asking too little for the Outlaw. I got that much for mine last fall and didn't have what your boat had to offer.

Sounds to me like you are going to sell the 311 and get out of boating. Sounds like you are more into the Corvette scene now days anyway, so sell the boat, and pocket the cash, or better yet, sell the 311, and buy a nice 302. :)
